Introduction

 

Gimnyeong Beach is the place to be for clear waters and fewer tourists. Here you can see local fishermen passing the time in hopes of catching the local striped beakfish. Although the commute from Jeju City to Gimyeong is almost an hour by bus, the clean sand and excellent photo opportunities make the visit well worth it. Getting there is much faster by taxi for those in a rush. As with most places outside of Jeju City, Gimnyeong is ideal for experiencing the peaceful side of northern Jeju.
