Eastern Jeju Attractions : Trick Art Museum
Introduction
Trick Art uses various scientific drawing techniques and special paint to bring pictures alive in 3-D so that the visitors can experience the exhibition first hand. Trick Art was founded 20 years ago by the Japanese artist Kenju Kazumune, of SD Corporation. Korea has 2 venues that exhibit Trick Art- the Haile Art Town and Jeju Trick Art Museum.
Jeju Trick Art Museum is an optical illusion museum. What was previously exhibited only during special events in each city is now permanently available for visitors to enjoy at all times in Jeju.
Trick Art is based on renowned masterpieces. Visitors are welcome to touch the piece and take pictures freely. Trick Art uses visual and geometry illusions to create a 3-D and by using special paint with high transparency and absorbs refracted and reflected light to create a maximum effect.
Hands on appreciation of each masterpiece enhances better memory, which is why it is a favorite among visitors especially children who often visit the museum on field trips because it is educational and fun at the same time.
